Update Of Progress 1: Pitch Demo's on Ice, now accepting unpaid, voluntary jobs.

Thank for your patience, readers. I’ve come here to provide its first update of progress in regards to what the magazine is doing so far, let’s start with my first statement.

The Pitch Demo’s on Ice

Yes, it is unfortunate to announce that I’m not moving forward with our interactive pitch demo as we put this idea on hold for a couple of reasons. First, I don’t think that that the jabbing of the current-day problems in mainstream media fits as a marketing tactic, although it’s a good idea on paper, the fact that it’s not even good enough to get the wheels going makes me think that maybe I’ll save this for the future.

Secondly, I’ve had a better plan that suits the magazine’s first steps by releasing its first issue free to the public (when it’s ready) and then we’ll open up new subscriptions through Patreon. That way, it’ll be easier to get people’s attention to the mag while we develop its future issues without any meddling or development snags required because we’re not that even greedy, to begin with unlike any mainstream companies around.

It’s best not to rush out more issues as we rather complete it’s development from the ground up before publishing it to Patreon with some effort and care put into fruition.

Now accepting unpaid, voluntary jobs.

Speaking of effort, we’re now accepting jobs for people who wanted work without going to the office since Back mirror doesn’t have one and I’m also poor at the same time, so to get issue one done without a budget is to get the volunteers.
So if you want to help bring the magazine to reality, the job listings go as followed:
  • ·         Managing and Associate Editors and Proofreaders
  • ·         Contributing Writer
  • ·         Art Director
  • ·         Programmer
  • ·         UI Artist
  • ·         Contributing Voices
  • ·         Manager
  • ·         Publisher
  • ·         Technical Director

If you have any inquiries or portfolios, send us through email at WorkForLoopback@writeme.com or for any more questions about the magazine, follow us on twitter or ask us through email at LoopbackQuestions@writeme.com. Thank you.

Something special has just happened

You may notice that along with the official new logo (which it has appeared in the header of it's official blog), we've also changed the background theme too.

Attention: We're opening up questions onto social media and email.

So, if you want to follow the progress of loopback, we've got you covered on Twitter. For Facebook users, you have to wait until after the pitch demo is ready for the public. However, if you wanted to send out your questions regarding the multimedia mag on email, then write down the address at loopbackquestions@writeme.com once if we get the email working. (EDIT: The email address is now online, thank you for your patience!)

Announcing Loopback Magazine, Interactive Pitch Demo coming soon...

We’ve suffered a lot of corporate bullcrap recently in the modern era of gaming and music, from corrupted developers who love to put in the predatory nature of microtransactions to mainstream pop and indie rock songs turning into glorified commercial music that’ll annoy the buzzing hell out of you with car-related ads and generic-looking trailers.

However, because of this situation, Back mirror Entertainment had decided to step up into the game and put some pressure on them with a brand new magazine for PC only (for now) dedicated on bringing alive the glorious past of Gaming and Music called Loopback.

As of this writing, I’m working on the interactive pitch demo that’ll answer about twelve questions about the magazine itself, our goals and of course, how long would the first official issue come out for subscribers only along with my responses on some of those blatant corporate excuses that they tried to sneak away.

It’ll be out when it’s ready for launch, in the meantime, have fun screaming your lungs at your television with those blunt words saying, “All trailers are the same!” on super bowl night while I continue writing the pitch transcript, see you later!

-Andrew Lewis (or Alderson if you know me on the right), Founder of the Mag and Backmirror Entertainment.
